| CFA President's Report April 9, 2010 1. We
have hired a new part time office person.
Her name is Casie Brown 2.
Time Warner has informed us that they hope to begin cable installation
in CFA sometime in April, with service available by the end of summer. Their engineer was in CFA a week or so ago
surveying poles, potential customers, etc.
It appears the service is now coming up 3.
Mr. Noel Nicely has resigned as
CFA vice president and Chairman of the Improved Living Committee. Cyndi
Caviness has agreed to chair that committee.
Thanks Cyndi. I would like to
personally and publicly thank Peanut for his years of service to CFA in several
different capacities over many years. 4.
Two weeks from this meeting, April 23rd at 4:00 PM is the
deadline for interested Board of Director candidates to file a statement of
candidacy at the CFA office. Please
consider becoming a CFA Board Member. This
is an important election since 3 of the 5 positions are being filled. CFA exists and thrives only through the
efforts of its members and volunteers. 5. The
floors in the clubhouse basement bathrooms have been commercially ground to
bare concrete, and core samples for moisture have been taken. The core samples indicate relatively high
moisture during a timeframe when we have had hot, dry weather. Some sort of moisture barrier is required to
ensure adhesion. A decision on floor
coating will be made soon, perhaps tonight. 6. Our
pool drains have been modified and certified by the County Health Department to
comply with all new Federal, State and County requirements. Walter has been hired again this year as the
pool attendant, and his work schedule has been formulated. | ||||
