CFA President's Reports

August 14, 2009

1.   The CFA Office will be closed on Labor Day, Monday September 7^th.

2.   The CFA Pool will close for the season on Sunday, September 13^th.

3.   As a reminder, NC State law requires all riders of any “4 wheeler”, “Quad”, or “ATV” to wear a helmet and eye protection at all times, whether on public or private property.  The 1^st offense fine for non-compliance is $200, and the Montgomery County Sheriff is cracking down.  Additionally, the speed limit on all CFA roads is 25 MPH, except the campground road which is 15 and 5 MPH.  Non-CFA property owners riding off-road vehicles on CFA roads or property are trespassing, and will be prosecuted.  Persons observing violations of these rules are encouraged to take photographs, noting the date and time of the offense, and provide the photos to the office.

4.   Adjacent property owners, PEC lessees, and users of Lake Tillery are reminded that each lease with PEC requires the lessee to ensure that:

      - no trash, leaves or grass/yard clippings are disposed of in the lake;

      - no discharge of sewage or other objectionable matter are put into the lake; and,

      - no natural vegetation or trees are removed or otherwise destroyed without prior written permission from PEC; and,

      - all of the many, many other restrictions of the lease are fully complied with.

Persons observing violations of these rules are encouraged to take photographs, noting the date and time of the offense, and provide the photos to the office.

5.   Scott Broadway, our maintenance supervisor for the past 5 years has resigned effective next Friday, August 21^st.  We wish Scott well in his future endeavors.
