1.     Congratulations to Ken Walker and Paul Vale who were elected as Directors at the June meeting.  Ken is the new chair person.  Thanks to the other candidates for volunteering to help the community.

2.     Randolph Electric Membership Corporation (REMC) has inspected the telephone poles within the association, many of which are 40 years old.  They are replacing the decayed/rotten ones (which are marked with a red ribbon) within the next few weeks.  In some cases, the new poles will not be inserted in the hole the original pole was, but up to 18 inches away.

3.     As a reminder, no unattended fires or glowing embers are allowed in Carolina Forest.  In addition to a human attendant, all fires must have a water source and hose available to extinguish the fire in case it begins to expand.  All embers must be extinguished before departing the fire scene.  Also, no fires are ever permitted on Progress Energy leased property.
